2.3 International provision of services

While the ITC Model Contracts discussed in the previous section relate to the supply of movable goods, this section addresses the provision of services. We will first discuss the ITC contract for the international supply of services. Subsequently, we will address the ITC Model international manufacture agreement. Although manufacturing is often (largely) equivalent to the long-term supply of goods, the manufacture of goods may also constitute the provision of ‘manufacturing services’.

Mixed types of contracts. If an arrangement between two parties has a mixed character – with elements of a sales transaction but also the provision of services – it is recommended to draw up a contract for the international sale of goods and copy-paste into it the relevant clauses addressing service-related aspects.
